FRATTA IN THE LATE 1800s
2nd weekend of September.
This historical re-enactment takes place in the squares and streets of the historic centre. This four-day event is organised by the “Fratta 1800s Association” and re-enacts shows and events that actually took place in Umbertide in the 19th century. Every year, over 750 people participate dressed in the traditional costumes of both everyday people and nobles. During the festival, taverns and restaurants are decorated with 19th-century furniture and furnishings.
18 kilometres from Umbertide, the small village of Preggio perches 640 metres above sea level ensconced in the green vegetation of the Umbrian hills. An important festival of sacred and chamber music takes place there.
